The standards have become more stringent and the cross-collateralization of personal and corporate assets as security for loans has virtually become a mandatory prerequisite for any type of funding, equity or loan based.

When initiating the process of raising capital one should take into consideration the use of a combination of funding options such as but not limited to: traditional venture capital, bank institutional, institutional equity investment, hedge fund lenders, private money lending, angel equity and loan investment, a private placement memorandum as the mechanism for raising capital distributed in shares, international equity based funding, the reality of taking your small business public on the OTCBB and many other concepts of capital raising that can be placed into a simultaneous strategy.

Green Screen Hollywood History

February 7th, 2010

Green screen Hollywood technology, AKA chroma key is a technique used by filmmakers to mix two separate photographs together. This works by making the background ( a solid color which is usually green or blue ) transparent in order to show another image which is the particular background that’ll be shown on film. This method of filming is often referred to as color keying, blue screen, and color separation overlay ( CSO ). It was basically used for weather reports. Forecasters were shot in front of chroma key screens and the background got replaced by tangible maps that indicate weather forecasts . The chroma key technique is also employed by filmmakers and photographers alike.

The green screen first made its appearance in the 1930’s at RKO Radio pictures. The backdrop used back then was blue. This technique of film making was developed in order to create computer effects for the film “The burglar of Bagdad.” except for the chroma key methodology, filmmakers relied on an especially boring and time intensive process called “travelling matte.” This made transition like “wipes” practical.

Larry butler is understood to be responsible for pioneering the blue screen technique. Actually, he even took home an Academy Award for visual effects for his work in “The burglar of Bagdad.” After his accomplishment in the 30’s, servant was the first to use chroma key technology in Technicolor, paving the way for modern green screen Hollywood technology.

The 1st films to profit from Chroma Key technology was the flick adaption of Ernest Hemingway famous novella, “The Old Man and the Sea,” starring Spencer Tracy. After the “Old Man and the Sea,” more films used the chroma key method. Some famous film that make use of chroma key technology are The Empire Strikes Back, Lord of the Rings, Titanic, Star Trek, and even three hundred. Films that employ CGI or computer generated images are also made with the aid of green screen technology. This is how having out of this world settings and fantastic creatures are able to be shown on film.

Today, green screen Hollywood technology isn’t just confined to massive budget studios. It’s also used in photography. From the initial blue screen, green was used later on because filmmakers discovered that a green background doesn’t need tedious lighting. Cameras are most attuned to this color, so the outcome of films shot on green screens are more easy to work with and manipulate. While acknowledging that, chroma key technology is now known to photographers and filmmakers’ best chum.

The MMA Legacy Of Helio Gracie

February 4th, 2010

The founding father of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and patriarch of the Gracie family, Helio Gracie, died in early 2009 at the age of 95. His influence in martial arts as well as the sport of mixed martial arts is mind boggling. The Gracie family name will forever be synonymous with Brazilian sports, jiu-jitsu, MMA and the UFC”not only due to Helios own accomplishments but the legacy he created both by training others and through his family.

Helio Gracie began his training in mixed martial arts early, and by his teenage years was already teaching judo. While he had no problem mastering the theoretical aspects of judo, he found that many of its techniques were less effective for a practitioner with a smaller build. Along with his brother Carlos, Gracie began to work out his own fighting system by adapting many of judo’s techniques and making them more a product of leverage rather than brute strength. This led to the creation of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), frequently called Gracie Jiu Jitsu in his honor.

Gracie also had a professional fighting career of his own, taking on champions from other fighting disciplines in an early version of modern MMA. These bouts were grueling, unregulated affairs with rules that were often made up as they went along and time limits that seem barbaric by todays standards. By his own recollection, he had 15 fights against the top fighters of his day. These included pro wrestlers, boxers and other martial arts specialists.

Gracie’s most famous opponent was against legendary Japanese judoka Masahiko Kimura. Gracie fought bravely in a losing cause, and ironically may have enhanced his reputation in defeat. He refused to submit to a reverse arm bar (the move that is now known as a ‘kimura’ in honor of its inventor), and the fight ended after his brother Carlos threw in the towel after Helio’s arm had been broken.

Helio Gracie’s impact on fight sports and mixed martial arts would continue through his offspring. Married twice, he had seven sons (Rickson, Royler, Rolker, Royce, Relson, Robin and Rorion) and two daughters (Rerika and Ricci), many of whom went on to make their own mark on the fight sport world. Royce Gracie is well known as the first UFC superstar, while sons Rickson Royler, Renzo have also achieved considerable fame in professional MMA.

Gracie died at age 95, after suffering stomach problems though the cause of his death was officially listed as ‘natural causes’. His last words are classic and highly fitting for a man who gave so much to martial arts and fighting sports:

“I created a flag from the sports dignity. I oversee the name of my family with affection and nerves of blood.

Simplifying Plumber Training Courses – The Best Routes

February 2nd, 2010

The salaries of Plumbers are often highlighted in the national press. Within the UK, the figures of 30-70k p.a. are typical of Plumbers, mainly down to their low numbers. The question now is – are we being lied to, or is this the truth? To be certain, for the correctly qualified and experienced plumber, this level of salary is achievable and indeed attainable. Salaries of 70-100k p.a. are achievable, but these appear to be the area of the self-employed Plumbers rather than those who take the more familiar working methods.

If you are working for a traditional company within the UK, then the hours of Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm are normal. Approximately wages of 15k and 30k p.a. are reasonable within the UK, along with standard benefits such as holiday pay and sickness allowance. A self-employed person can earn more money than this traditional approach, but will often need to work outside of the Mon- Fri, 9am to 6pm example. Without a doubt in the domestic market many clients require evening and weekend visits and self employed plumbers have to meet that need.

Around which is the question of self employment which appears to fit some people. This can involve factors such as getting the basics sorted out and the need to use good ‘business sense’ overall. Likewise self-employed people need to consider the implications of costs relating to materials and transport as well as legal and accountancy fees etc. These charges should always remain a small proportion of the overall income so that any profits created always outweigh them. Added to that, the positives virtually always outstrip the negatives!

Often customary work from employers attracts Student Entrants especially if it meets their needs training in working knowledge and experience. On the other hand, the Self Employed Entrant needs to increase their list plumbing credentials as soon as possible. Having said that, we should bear in mind that the majority of self-employed workers tend to migrate towards the narrower ‘domestic’ market, rather than the commercial sector. (At least most of them do)

With reference to education in Plumbing, there is a likeness needed by each part of the industry in relation to the certification elements. Without a doubt the issue of NVQ’s (SVQ’s in Scotland) raises a constant concern as to the way forward.

To begin with, the Student Entrant appears to rely more heavily on the NVQ structure than the Self Employed Entrant. By calling upon a wider range of qualifications Self Employed Entrants will be able to meet their clients’ needs from the start. In order to be able to meet the needs of the typical household, self-employed persons will need to rapidly gain key domestic-centred qualifications. In a similar way to an apprenticeship the Student Entrant will, once the core learning tools have been learned, enter the workplace and be able to carry on the NVQ element of their study. As it is cheaper form of study overall then the Student Entrant can make financial savings from the beginning. But the Self Employed Entrant will gain certifications faster (motivated by a more commercial viewpoint) and will therefore be achieving considerable financial reward long before the Student Entrant.

Clearly this illustrates the need for a careers discussion that covers certifications and study alongside those of financial returns. It would generate serious hardship, for example, for an adult requiring 20k p.a. (to provide for their family,) to go back to college and spend 3 years in low-paid apprenticeship work. Equally, many self-employed students fund the courses themselves whereas the Student Entrants often have their studies paid for them as part of their overall apprenticeships. These courses can run between 3k through to 10k+, depending upon the course and level of certification required and that is something that people need to consider.

Self Employed Entrants can consider a wide range of private technical colleges as opposed to the reliance on further-education colleges and that differentiates them from Student Entrants. Often through the use of established training schemes many commercially oriented plumbing courses are now able to deliver the necessary skill-sets and qualifications. This method offers key advantages to Self Employed Students, allowing them to train evenings, part-time or on self-study classes thereby continuing with their existing jobs and maintaining their financial situation. Considering so many options on hand it is clever to gather data from as many sources as one can. To review your options why not book mark this page (CTRL-D) and you can come back and review the links and adverts we have provided for you.

By going on added training programs many plumbing students seek to increase their ‘marketability’. These courses can provide a range of additional certifications in areas such as Gas, Green Energy and Electrical. Forming part of the common domestic and commercial heating system, Plumbers have often opted for Gas Training.

With core subjects followed by NVQ’s, Gas Training is a thorough and exact training program. For those who trained as a plumber these schemes offer many options for further development and can clearly seen to add additional skills to the table. From this idea the mature student works better with a fusion offered by Gas/Plumbing training. By reducing the NVQ parts the Mature Student appears to be able to allow the focus on the core subjects.

It is from this mix of training methods that the self-employed professional appears to benefit. The opportunity to learn a wider range of perceived skill-sets (whilst earning money from them) becomes the attraction. Instead of having to rely upon third parties to complete certain skill-sets, this adds to their commercial viability. Sub-contracting can not only reduce the earning potential of a job, but also erode the value in the customer’s eye, as they may have to wait for key stages to be handled by someone else before the final completion of the job. The higher the skill level of a Plumber the more that they can offer their client base.

Finally, whilst the Student Entrant breaks into the industry more quickly the Self Employed Entrant has the opportunity for higher potential earnings, but to do so they need to develop a broader range of certifications and a higher level of business skill sets. Note: This relative information is primarily for the UK workplace and policies alone.

Cheap Web Hosting – Ups and Downs

February 1st, 2010

The first thing you should understand about affordable web hosting is the way it works. Many people believe that they have to get the most expensive type of hosting available and purchase all the extras needed to make a spectacular site. However, what these sites won’t tell you is that most of the features you get, you won’t use in the beginning anyways. The only time this applies is when people are uploading sites through FTP clients. Otherwise, all you need is affordable web hosting to get you started.

On the upside, most affordable web hosting packages are complete. They have a reasonable amount of space and bandwidth for blog sites to be hosted or even small forums to be managed. The PHP support along with other support for databases like MySQL should be enough for several different types of sites to be set up with ease.

What you should really focus on upfront is the types of back-up systems available. While it’s something to worry about, there shouldn’t be a problem finding a suitable site that keeps your information from being discarded in unfortunate situations. Plus, it’s always nice to have back office help when needed, and FTP access if you want to upload files from the computer.

Another thing you’ll want to look for is speed and security. Most affordable web hosting has uptime at 99% and speeds that reflect high speed Internet use. Even if your site is full of traffic, their servers will do the job. Just keep in mind that the more multimedia items you have on your website, the performance starts to go down some. However, just compare these to a free web hosting site and you’ll notice the difference.

While there are many positive aspects to an affordable web hosting package, there are also issues that come along. We already mentioned multimedia capabilities, and when you mix this with high traffic your site will have a major slow down. When you reach this point you’ll want to upgrade to dedicated web hosting for faster speeds.

Since you will be sharing servers with other websites most of the time, you could suffer if they’re attacked by a virus. It’s a major security even if you feel as though your site is secure. We always recommend backing everything up as an insurance plan so you can avoid any future issues.

We would even recommend paying the extra fee (it’s small) to be a part of the WHOIS domain privacy package. It will allow you to keep your personal information secure, and alleviate any obstacles that could surface from it. Since most of these companies don’t offer custom name servers to be made, a dedicated server is better in the privacy protection area. Just remember that it costs more.

These rather minor drawbacks do not tarnish affordable web hosting all that much in generation. Affordable web hosting packages are still perfect for any webmasters that want to seriously bring their website to a commercial audience. Upgrades should only be made as soon as these drawbacks are realized so nobody is harmed by the site browsing experience. Because dedicated servers can be several times more expensive than affordable web hosting, affordable web hosting is the recommended choice when you are uncertain of what you need for your site.

How To Choose Your Next Printer

January 29th, 2010

When you are looking to purchase a printer there are a few things to consider. I have written this article so that you can find one that is best suited to your needs without spending any more than you need to. This is important or you could end up spending money functions you may not even use.

Below you will read about the ones that are most commonly used today so that you are able to make the right choice for your home or office. Think about whether you need your documents to be printed in colour or whether you are going to print digital photographic images while making your decision and going over your options.

We will look at the four on sale today rather than ones that have been and gone and would only be suitable for an antiques collector. They are dot matrix, laser models, inkjet which is most common and the plotter.

Although this kind is not as commonly used nowadays you will find it still in shops where receipts are printed as well as the mini statements produced at cash points. They first came to be many years ago. The 1900’s to be precise. They manage to print by way of dots and this is how simple images and characters were created. They were built to last and you may still be able to find them although it is getting harder as more advances technologies have taken over.

If you are looking for something that is for your home but you wish to have good quality and cost effectiveness then the best choice for you would most probably be the an inkjet. This one works by way of a mist. It is sprayed to form each of the letters or the desired picture and gives great results. It is also a lot quicker than the dot printing equipment used for many years before.

For people printing the occasional letter or document there are advantages to getting the plotter. They give you decent results and are within the budgets of most. This allows every computer user to have a way of storing anything they wish on paper. The only downside is that although the actual printers can be bought at a low price it is the cartridges that make them expensive for people who regularly uses them.

When you look at a laserjet you still have the option of printing in colour but if you only want images or documents to be in black and of course white then you can save money on your purchase. This kind is commonly bought by people who have a business as they can get the best images possible. It allows them to show what they need in the highest quality whether it is in a booklet, letter or other form of advertisement or notification. The owners of such great machinery are companies and people who want the best ever results from their printers. In addition the speed is that much faster than other kinds.

Need to know more about computers and computer parts? Why not check out the Ebuyer website which lists product descriptions along with reviews from users. For unbiased reviews and information on deals and offers on memory or hard drives or even peripherals like printers please go to Ebuyer.com
